Take Back the Night

Take Back the Night (TBTN) is an annual event in which members of the UR community can share their story about how sexual violence has impacted their life or come to show their solidarity and commitment to ending sexual violence.

TBTN is an annual event that unites students who are taking a stand against sexual violence. TBTN provides survivors and other students an opportunity to speak out about how sexual violence has impacted their lives and allows their peers to show their solidarity and commitment to ending sexual violence.

Take Back the Night is the earliest worldwide effort to combat sexual and interpersonal violence. This name was first used in the 1970s when incidents of violence and subsequent protests against these actions gained widespread media attention.
